Rates
The Write Way offers services to authors at affordable prices, no matter the type of project. We do not charge by the word or page but by the hour. We feel we serve the author best in this way, for projects can vary widely—from a simple proofread to a total rewrite involving extensive consultation.
We want to give you our best “wordsmithing” efforts at affordable prices. Factors such as these determine your cost:
- Level of complexity
- Writing expertise
- Number of words/pages
- Your deadline(s)
- Anticipated consultation time
- Extra research
- Graphic design
For standard manuscripts we charge $30/hour. For graphics and special manuscript work (dictation to Word and scanning to Word) the fee is $35/hour. You may choose the payment method. Ghostwriting is charged somewhat differently. Contact us for details.
Conditions
A deposit of 50% of the estimate is required at the start of the project. Invoices are sent upon project completion, or for larger assignments, several payments may be required at intervals during the editing process.
If more editing is required than originally arranged, we will discuss additional fees with you before undertaking the additional work.

You can arrange to pay by Check or Money Order or you can transfer funds electronically via PayPal—which only takes a few minutes to register. To make a payment, click on the link to PayPal.
